I have sent my new owner Aircraft Registration in in December. If they do not issue me a registration by the end of February, (which I'm pretty darn sure they won't) do I need to file for an extension that will go on for another three months? Marcel n5vu@att.net

The FAA recently announced that unless you are notified otherwise by the FAA Aircraft Registry, your second copy of the registration application is valid as your temporary registration for 12 months no matter what it says on the form.
