Do OTC medications influence or prevent flight training?
AOPA Staff Answer
Yes they can. Impairment from medication, particularly over the counter (OTC) medication, has been cited in a number of accidents in general aviation. If you take any of the “NO GO” medications or if you have had side effects from the medication before, wait at least five (5) dosage intervals after the last dose before flying.
