First 3rd Class medical with OSA.

Hello all! Just trying to get some clarification. I’m going for my 3rd class medical soon and have been diagnosed with OSA. I use a CPAP and had my last sleep study in May. Do I need to get another sleep study done in addition to providing the report from the CPAP and a follow up with the diagnosing physician? I’m getting conflicting information on this topic and at this point am just incredibly confused.

Nope.  It's all in the "well treated" letter.  Your AME is either mistaken or you misheard.

Nope.  You need:
Original  sleep study report.
CPAP use bar graph from the machine showing > 75% of nights with >6 hours of use, and the repot has to end in tne current 90 days, and show >30 days' use
Well treated letter from the doc saying 4 things:
Appears well rested
By history complies with CPAP nightly
No complaint of daytime sleepiness
On Physical exam no findings of Right Heart Failure.

Ok interesting. That’s what I thought as well but the AME is saying I need to get a new sleep study to prove that the CPAP is working and I need to do this prior to any exam with him.
