how to keep properly hydrated during long flights

Open
Hi
I am looking for ways to best manage hydration, i.e. drinking water, during long flights without pee stops.
Are there better ways to manage it apart from not drinking coffee before flights?
Thanks for your input.

Forgo coffee or tea before flight and hit a water bottle for a few sips, just enough to quench your immediate thirst. I’ll also use some hard candies (for me cinnamon hots) to produce saliva which you’ll ingest to help.
As long as your flights are reasonable, say five hours you’ll usually last.
Of course there is that shut down procedure that includes bursting out of the cockpit and running to the john.
Large mouth Gatorade bottles work in a pinch (smooth conditions only).

Anything with sugar DEhydrates. Find a sugar-free dry mouth lozenge.

You are clearly NOT a 69-year-old Type 2 diabetic with BPE.

You are correct Cap’ Ron.
I am a 70 year old type 2 diabetic with coronary artery disease, stents and a diffibulator.
I do like my cinnamon candies.

Thanks; I do have Little Johns with me but I never really had to use them or practiced yet...
