I had cataract surgery, single vision lens.  And I have a Form 8500-7 completed by the Dr.  My medical is Basic Med so what to do with the 8500-7?

Ron is correct. Doctor completed forms like this are very common, and necessary, when applying for a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd class medical certificate. However, they are not required for basic med. Although the basic med doctor has a checklist of 22 items to examine, there is no specific requirement for supplementary information to be provided.

Nothing, unless your personal physician wants to see it on your next Basic Med examination.  That surgery does not require Special Issuance before Basic Med like certain cardiac, neurological, and mental health issues.
