I was deferred from my medical due to taking 4 BP med's. I am taking 3 pills but didn't know one counted as two. Prior to my AME appt, I submitted my medications as he had asked to look at it prior to appt. I find out during the exam he was deferring me due to the medication. Turns out he never looked at my meds prior to my appt like he said he would. I have had a medical for over 20 years and just last year had seen a cardiologist due to BP getting to 150/90. I had done all the stress test, echo, sleep study and Nuclear test then. All was ok
Now my question. I received my letter from FAA 12 days after the date on letter. It stated I had to do all the above test and include all the who knows how many pages of results and such. My cardio doc is booked until end of April but I can see the Nurse Practitioner to get the test. That first appt is still another week away which will put the time frame at 20 days. I don't see how I can get all those test and paper work within 60 days of letter. The letter doesn't mention anything about asking for more time if that is needed. Has anyone been able to get extra time on the 60 day deadline?
