I was involved in an accident as a student pilot and when I apply for insurance I am getting turned down. I am currently a student and have bought a Ercoupe that I am refurbing. I was not fined, there were no claims and I my certificate wasnt suspended. Should I mention this to the insurance company if they dont ask?
Every aviation insurance application I've seen has a list of yes/no items about accidents, suspensions, DUI's, and the like, but they all said "If yes, explain below or on a separate sheet." No explanation -> no insurance. So did you explain when you applied? How long ago was the accident? Have you spoken with your agent or broker about this?
