Can a sport pilot get clearance into class B airspace? I understand that sport pilots and sport aircraft can't land at most class B airports but I find any regulation that says a sport pilot can't be cleared to enter/traverse class B airspace. For example it would be wise to fly from Long Beach (LGB) to Catalina at 9500 but would require traversing LAX airspace.
See 14 CFR 61.325. You must receive an endorsement in your logbook from a CFI who has given you ground and flight training on operations in Class B/C/D airspace including taking off and landing at a tower-controlled airport. Without that endorsement, you cannot enter B/C/D airspace, no less take off or land at an airport in such airspace or with a tower.
