I’m a member of a flying club and we’ve recently had some security issues with our aircraft/hangar. Lock boxes, aircraft, and even hangar doors have been left unlocked or completely open. I’m looking for a resource that I can have club members use to emphasize the need for securing our aircraft and hangar. Does AOPA have anything to help?

Yes, AOPA has a General Aviation Security https://www.aopa.org/training-and-safety/online-learning/online-courses/general-aviation-security course that is a great resource for what you’re trying to do. It should help emphasize to your club members the importance of securing aircraft and covers other security issues too.

Rules with consequences are usually better followed.  Your club might consider penalties for those who don't secure things properly, based on who last used them before they were found unsecured.
