Home base 19N. Willing to help fly in medical supplies if needed. VFR only PA28-151. Anything AOPA is doing to get the word out on this and GA being able to help?

I have the same  thought. Why not repurpose a platform like Pilots 'n Paws to fly medical supplies, while allowing to maintain social distancing and safe handling of materials?

I offered the government here in Dominica the use of my airplane and me to pilot it if needed.

All of course at my expense as I am a PPL.

Found it got frustrated when the management at the Canefield airport who decided on the basis of a published NOTAM (TDCF) that I cannot fly a quick 20 minute couple of circuits to keep the airplane in good condition and me current - it has been sitting on the ground for over a month less than an hour after a fifty - thought better do it in case they wanted me to carry someone - the air traffic guy seemed quite put out that a non-aviation general manager made the 'decision' contrary to the NOTAM.

So looking like my airplane will have been sitting on the ground a couple of months or so - worried about the risk of a problem of called up and then being unable to go - so withdrew the offer.

Hi Len,
I suggest contacting a group like Air Care Alliance to determine what public benefit aviation organizations are doing in response to the pandemic.   Please click on the link below for a related story on the AOPA website.  https://www.aopa.org/news-and-media/all-news/2020/april/16/flying-into-action
