Quick question on CBP decals and travelling over the New Year holiday. If I leave the US for the Bahamas on 31 December and come back on 2 January, is it ok to only have a 2023 CBP decal or do I need one for 2022 and 2023?

Decals are required only for arriving aircraft. See “Decal Information” about ¾ way down.
