On May 13, 2019, two air tour aircraft collided in flight over the George Inlet northeast of Ketchikan. In April 2021, the NTSB published the final report on the accident that highlights the limitations of “see-and-avoid” and how increased use of in-cockpit traffic displays and/or alerts can enhance situational awareness.
