I am an 800-hour PP-SEL who has been out of aviation since I sold my Traveler ten years ago. I’m now retired, renewed my medical via BasicMed, and am eying a 1972 AA1-B. I would appreciate any comments on people’s knowledge of the model and how it differs from my AA5. Please let me know what I should ...

After 40 years of owning a Tiger, I cannot open the engine cowling. The pilot's side rear latch will push in fully, but the cowling will not lift up no matter how hard I try. The front end will lift up a bit, but there is not any give on the rear. Has anyone encountered this and come up with a solution?
Bumping it up from the inside worked. I used a small stick and used it as a lever on the engine mount. Turns out the ...

Also, regarding comfort...at 6'2" and 220lbs (big in shoulders, not gut), would i be comfortable in one of these?  My wife is on the small side at 5'3" and 115ibs I could ...
There is a CS prop available for the Tiger but not for the Cheetah.

Hello all,
I am strongly considering the Traveler for my first airplane purchase.  The mission is mostly for 2-3 hour local flights(from Watsonville, CA) and exploring the western states.  Just my wife and I plus bags for couple nights stay.  I am a low time (100 hr) pilot and I did all my training ...

Left Friday morning at 11, flew home on Saturday at 2. A size-able cross country with the wife to Monticello to attend an apple tasting.

The trip there was eventful (for this VFR pilot) as it always is around the Green Bank observatory. High mountains and always the same damn 5500' layer. ALWAYS ...

My plane needs flying.  How about lunch at Charly’s at Williamsburg VA (JGG) about noon on Saturday 6/29?  Bring your dog – there’s outside seating and a water dish.
